Comparison of Comfy Collars with ProCollars
The Comfy Collar and the ProCollar work in exactly the same way but there are some subtle differences between the way that they have been made. We are the only stockist of the ProCollars in the UK and we sell both types so that you have a choice.
Both collars have the same features - an inflatable inner tube, a scratch and bite resistant outer layer, velcro strap for adjustment and loops on the inside edge to secure your pet’s regular collar.
The Comfy Collar is available in five sizes:
- Comfy Collar Size 1 - 7-9 inches - £10.00

The Comfy Collar is ideal for standard use but due to a shorter velcro strap it is best to choose the size you need more carefully.
The ProCollar is a premium product with more durable outer jacket, and a tighter-fitting inner tube resulting in a more rigid fitting. It also has longer velcro straps. The sizes are broadly comparable but there is more overlap between sizes in the ProCollar range due to the velcro strap length. It's plumper shape brings the internal collar circumference down to smaller neck sizes.
The outer jacket of the Comfy Collar is made with a PVC Vinyl. The ProCollar is now made with a heavy duty canvas fabric which is lighter, breathable and machine washable.
The ProCollar is available in six sizes:
- ProCollar (XS) Extra Small - Up to 6 inches - £15.00
- ProCollar (S) Small - 6-10 inches - £21.00
- ProCollar (M) Medium - 10-13 inches - £25.00
- ProCollar (L) Large - 13-18 inches - £29.00
- ProCollar (XL) Extra Large - 18-22 inches - £34.00
- ProCollar (XXL) Double Extra Large - 22+ inches - £42.00
The Double Extra Large (XXL) ProCollar is ideal for the largest of dogs such as St Bernards, Great Danes, Bernese and Newfoundlands. The Extra Small (XS) ProCollar is suitable for small cats and toy dogs.

We recommend choosing the ProCollar if your pet is keeping it on for more than a few days or if they are going to be quite active. If you are unsure about exact sizing it is best to choose a ProCollar.
Most cats usually need a Small (S) ProCollar or a Size 1 Comfy Collar. Small cats will need the Extra Small (XS) ProCollar. Larger cats may need a Size 2 Comfy Collar or Small (S) ProCollar. We always recommend you check your pet’s neck measurements but if you are unsure the Small (S) ProCollar is suitable for all but the smallest of cats.

Please note that when comparing sizes the ProCollar has longer velcro straps and a plumper fit. It is preferable to use a larger size but with ProCollars the next size down will also fit if you are on the lower end of the size range. e.g. for a 14" neck measurement the Medium ProCollar will still fit okay but a Large ProCollar is recommended. For Comfy Collars you should choose the size as indicated.
